Tesla Model 3, Profit During Lockdown, Licence For Electricity Generation In UK, Fun Facts And More.

Tesla Model 3

Tesla has changed the EV market to an unbelievable extent. Recently in April, its Model 3 was the best selling car in entire Britain, which was never before awarded to any of the EV ever made.

Also, according to the sales of Britain in April 2020, out of the total cars bought, 1/3rd of them were electric vehicles(EV).

Profit/Loss Post Lockdown

This coronavirus pandemic may have shaken the entire world affecting a major number of firms and MNCs, but when it comes to Tesla, it has very little impact to show. Tesla’s first-quarter revenue came up to be 32% higher on an annual basis as compared to the corresponding quarter income last year.

To be more clear, it has recorded a profit of $227 million for the first quarter of the 2020 financial year. Comparing it to the last year’s loss of $494 million, this seems to be great.

License For Electricity Generation In UK

Yes! You heard it right. An announcement suggests that the UK‌ authorities confirmed that Tesla has applied for a license to generate electricity in the country.

Fun fact-

1. Do you know that after you buy a Tesla, you don’t have to worry about the fuel prices as all the charging stations are free to use, and you don’t have to pay even a single penny! There are only some parts for which you have to pay at a regular interval, some of them are tires and windshield wipers. In total, there are only six parts that require replacement at regular intervals.

2. In 2017 built one of the world’s largest lithium-ion batteries for the Australian state grid following the blackout in 2016.

When it comes to Tesla, the team never fails to surprise us. Remember the Tesla Cybertruck launch event.

Jokes apart,

In 2016 when South Australia had a blackout, it was Tesla led by Elon Musk, who stepped forward with a $50 million contract for setting the battery storage system within 100 days. The contact was pretty exciting as it was confirmed by Tesla that if they would fail to install the system within 100 days, then they would do it all for free.

Guess what, Tesla did all the installation in time.

3. Tesla was founded by two American engineers- Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning.
