The hacker going by the name Shiny Hunters has confirmed that he was successful in gaining access to Microsoft’s private GitHub repositories and have around 500 GB of files containing the company’s private project details.
Replying to the breach speculations, a Microsoft official said that there is not much to be worried about and maybe fake. He tweeted, “Msft has a “rule” that GitHub repos must be public within 30 days.”
According to reports, the hacker initially wanted to sell the projects online but finally decided to let it all go for free. So what do you think? Is it real or just a scam?
To me, I think this is all fake. The source that bough this act into the light has confirmed that they tried to contact Microsoft regarding this, but they haven’t got a reply.
Stay Tuned!! We will come up with another article on this topic if this is anything real and not just a fake declaration made by the hacker itself.
